🔍 What You’ll Do

Build and deploy backend systems that power agentic workflows and multi-step AI agents.
Design and optimize retrieval, ranking, and RAG pipelines using hybrid search, vector databases, and reranking techniques.
Develop evaluation frameworks to measure AI quality, relevance, latency, and end-to-end task success.
Improve LLM-powered workflows for accuracy, reliability, and performance in production.
Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver customer-focused AI solutions.
Explore and integrate emerging advances in LLMs, retrieval architectures, and agentic reasoning.

💡 What You’ll Bring

5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
2+ years of hands-on experience with search, retrieval, or ranking systems.
Experience building or evaluating LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows.
Strong Python and backend engineering skills, with experience in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Pinecone, FAISS, PostgreSQL/PGVector, or similar technologies.
Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
A customer-first mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to turn ambiguous challenges into practical solutions.

💰 Salary: CAD $160,000 - $210,000/year (depending on experience)

📍 Location: Toronto, Canada
