About Brightstone
Brightstone Developments is a residential real estate developer creating thoughtfully designed communities across the Greater Toronto Area. We’re looking for an Architectural Designer & 3D Visualization Specialist to help shape our projects and bring them to life through detailed drawings, creative concepts, and compelling marketing visuals.
The Role
This is a hands-on role combining architectural drafting, conceptual site planning, 3D modeling, and rendering. You’ll work with our development, design, and marketing teams to explore design options and create materials that clearly communicate our homes and communities.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with an eye for architecture, interior design, composition, and visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design & Drafting
- Prepare and revise residential floor plans in AutoCAD, including layouts, dimensions, furniture plans, and purchaser options.
- Develop conceptual site plans, building layouts, and preliminary development concepts.
- Explore alternative layouts to improve functionality, space efficiency, and buyer appeal.
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams, architects, and consultants.
- Prepare clear presentation drawings and simplified floor plans for sales and marketing materials.
3D Modeling & Rendering
- Build accurate 3D models from architectural drawings, sketches, and design references.
- Produce high-quality interior and exterior renderings for websites, brochures, advertising, sales presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Develop streetscapes, aerial views, and community visuals.
- Apply materials, finishes, lighting, landscaping, and furnishings to create realistic and appealing images.
- Update models and renderings as designs evolve, maintaining consistency with the latest approved drawings.
- Prepare visual comparisons of design options to support internal decisions.
Coordination & Delivery
- Work closely with development and marketing teams to understand project requirements and priorities.
- Manage multiple assignments and meet agreed deadlines.
- Maintain organized drawing files, models, asset libraries, and revision records.
- Review deliverables for accuracy, visual quality, and consistency before submission.
Qualifications
- Education in architectural technology, architecture, interior design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in a 3D modeling platform such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or equivalent.
- Experience with rendering software such as V-Ray, Corona, Lumion, Enscape, D5 Render, or equivalent.
- Experience with Photoshop or similar image-editing software.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and translate them into accurate models and visuals.
- Strong attention to detail, design judgment, organization, and communication.
- A portfolio demonstrating both architectural drafting and 3D visualization work.
Preferred Experience
- Three or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with residential developments, particularly townhomes and low-rise housing.
- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code, Ontario residential design practices and site planning considerations.
- Experience producing visuals for real estate sales and marketing.
- Animation, walkthrough, or virtual-tour experience.
