What You’ll Do
- Perform property condition assessments, reviewing relevant documents and drawings and delivering clear, timely written reports after each site visit.
- Reviewing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems in various commercial and high-rise properties.
- Prepare reserve fund studies, performance audits, pre-construction surveys and capital replacement studies, including researched cost estimates for recommended repairs.
- Investigate building issues, failures and deterioration, applying technical problem solving and quality assurance checks to your findings.
- Advise clients on technical issues and coordinate with clients, contractors and third parties throughout each project.
- Design, or collaborate on, repair details in AutoCAD, and help prepare engineered designs, construction specifications and drawings.

- 3+ years of experience conducting property condition assessments, including building system, structural reviews, as well as electrical and mechanical reviews.
- Excellent knowledge of ASTM E2018, Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments.

- Bachelor of Engineering degree or Engineering Technologist diploma.
- P.Eng. licensure, or actively working toward licensure.
- Knowledge of building codes, including the Ontario Building Code.
