About Kurage
Kurage is a fast-growing MedTech company transforming neurorehabilitation through its proprietary NeuroSkin® technology.
Combining functional electrical stimulation (FES), advanced movement analysis, and intelligent technology, NeuroSkin supports innovative rehabilitation programs for people living with neurological conditions.
As Kurage accelerates its expansion across Canada, our commercial strategy focuses on two priority therapeutic areas:
- Stroke: Supporting rehabilitation and functional recovery through specialized neurological rehabilitation pathways.
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS): Supporting mobility, walking function, and long-term rehabilitation through personalized NeuroSkin programs.
Kurage is entering a critical scale-up phase, transitioning from clinical innovation to broader market adoption through direct patient acquisition, clinical referrals, and a growing network of partner clinics.
1. Context and nature of the role
This is a unique opportunity to join Kurage at an early and formative stage of its development and help transform how stroke and incomplete spinal cord injury patients are treated in Ontario.
NeuroSkin is not simply an additional solution entering an established rehabilitation market; it represents a genuine opportunity to help shift the standard of care for post-stroke motor recovery.
The person hired will play a foundational role in this transformation: shaping how neurologists and physiatrists refer patients, supporting institutions and clinics in evaluating and adopting the technology, and ultimately helping accelerate access to meaningful functional recovery for more stroke and iSCI patients.
This role also offers a genuine opportunity to leave your mark and actively help shape a company, its services, and the way it operates, with a meaningful and lasting impact for both patients and our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to building an organization in a phase of significant growth, bring forward new ideas and approaches, and have a direct influence on the decisions that will shape Kurage’s development in Canada.
For a business development professional motivated as much by clinical impact as by commercial results, this role offers a direct and tangible connection between business objectives and the outcomes experienced by patients. It is a rare combination of startup-stage ownership, the opportunity to build a market and its ecosystem, and the chance to contribute to a meaningful mission focused on improving care and recovery for an underserved patient population.
2. Core mission
Establish NeuroSkin as the reference rehabilitation solution among Ontario prescribers and institutions specialized in stroke and iSCI, and convert that position into rapid, predictable and recurring revenue growth.
Primary objective for the first 12 months: reach agreed upon Stroke Subscribers and the associated revenue.
3. Responsibilities
a. Deliver aggressive revenue growth

- Master the literature, patient eligibility criteria and the limits of the solution, in order to engage a medical audience as a peer.
- Organize demonstrations, patient evaluation days and presentations at departmental rounds.
- Structure the referral circuit: referral tools, orientation criteria, feedback to the prescriber on patient outcomes.
- Sustain relationships over time and make NeuroSkin the preferred rehabilitation solution within these organizations.
c. Personally develop strategic accounts
Despite the leadership dimension of the role, the person hired remains directly engaged in sales and personally leads Kurage’s largest strategic opportunities, with a particular focus on Greater Toronto Area during the first phase of growth.
