Job Title: Database Administrator – Cloud, SQL & Enterprise Systems
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite - 5 days/week)
Duration: 4 months (Strong potential for extension based on performance)
Rate: $55-65 based on experience
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our enterprise data environment, managing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (Azure), while overseeing critical business applications including Microsoft Dynamics GP and Salesforce CRM.

Key Responsibilities
- Database Management & Optimization: Design physical databases, manage day-to-day operations, ensure high performance, and handle optimization, capacity planning, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Cloud Migration & Architecture: Spearhead the migration of on-premises databases and workloads to Microsoft Azure, configuring migration prerequisites, replication, target VM sizing, network/security settings, and backup/Defender baselines.
- Enterprise Applications Support: Manage and administer Microsoft Dynamics GP in collaboration with the finance team, providing hands-on support for finance systems and operations.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain and support Salesforce CRM integrations alongside ticketing systems (Shopify, Siriusware) and report-generating tools like SQL Report Builder.
- Application & Web Support: Assist with Microsoft Cloud environment application development and support (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, .NET MVC, Power Platform) and public-facing CMS websites (Umbraco).
Must-Have Qualifications
- Database Administration: Senior-level hands-on DBA experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments across both On-Premises and Cloud (Azure).
- Cloud Migration: Demonstrated experience successfully migrating on-premises databases and infrastructure to Azure.
- Microsoft Dynamics GP: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and financial systems concepts.
- Salesforce CRM: Practical administration and support experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Reporting & Tools: Proficiency in report-generating tools, specifically SQL Report Builder.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate / Azure Administrator (AZ-104) / Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
- Microsoft SQL Server or Fabric Data Engineer certifications
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance experience
- Prior Public Sector / OPS experience
