Role: Datastage Developer
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Mode: Hybrid (4 Days WFO)
Hiring Mode: 6-12 months Contract with extension possible
Pay: CAD 55-60/Hr.
Description:
- Experienced Python DataStage Developer responsible for designing| developing| and maintaining ETL/data integration solutions for banking applications.
- The role involves building scalable data pipelines| automating data processing| supporting regulatory and financial reporting| and ensuring data quality across enterprise systems.
- Experience with IBM DataStage| Python| SQL| and banking data is essential.
- Enterprise profiles also emphasize ETL development| data transformation| SQL optimization| and banking domain expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Design| develop| and support ETL workflows using IBM DataStage.
- Develop Python scripts for data ingestion| transformation| validation| and automation.
- Create and optimize SQL queries| stored procedures| and database objects.
- Integrate data from multiple banking systems| including core banking| payments| loans| and regulatory reporting platforms.
- Perform data quality checks| reconciliation| and troubleshooting of production issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts| architects| and compliance teams to deliver data solutions.
- Support batch processing| incident management| and change management activities.Ensure adherence to banking security| governance| and regulatory standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with IBM DataStage ETL development.
- Proficiency in Python| SQL| and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing| ETL concepts| and Data Modeling.
- Experience with Oracle| DB2| Snowflake| or similar databases.
- Understanding of SDLC| Agile methodologies| and version control tools (Git).
