- Lead customer negotiations, annual business planning, promotional strategies, and account development initiatives.
- Establish sales targets, manage forecasting, monitor KPIs, and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product Development, and Finance to support new product introductions, category growth, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Provide direction and leadership to two sales support team members, with the opportunity to recruit and develop Key Account Managers as the business scales.
- Partner closely with the CEO on sales strategy, business planning, and longer-term growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current or very recent Senior Manager, Director of Sales, or tenured National Account Manager experience within traditional CPG, ideally within food or beverage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of successful Canadian national and/or regional retail account management experience.
- Demonstrated success in both new business development and existing key account management, with strong relationships across major Canadian retail customers.
- Proven ability to secure new retail listings, expand distribution, negotiate customer agreements, and deliver profitable sales growth.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic planning capabilities, and hands-on sales execution skills.
- Experience managing sales support personnel, Key Account Managers, and/or broker relationships would be an asset.
- Exposure to the U.S. retail marketplace would be considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA considered an asset.
