Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for ICI new build projects, considering materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope to develop thorough and competitive bids.
- Collaborate with the project management team and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
- Analyze tender submissions and subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with project budgets and requirements.
- Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of material, labor, and subcontractor costs for future projects.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, providing updates and recommendations to management.
Skills and Experience:
- Construction Expertise: Demonstrated experience in estimating ICI new build projects, with strong knowledge of construction methods and costs.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze project information to produce accurate estimates.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in construction estimating, ideally with experience in ICI projects.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
