Job Title: GenAI Specialist / Practitioner (AWS Bedrock)
We are seeking a versatile GenAI Specialist to join our client and accelerate the adoption of generative AI. This is a job-agnostic posting for professionals with AWS Bedrock experience who can span multiple disciplines - whether your expertise is in business analysis, software development, data engineering, or cloud infrastructure. The core requirement is a functional and technical capability in Amazon Bedrock to help translate business needs into scalable, secure, and data-driven AI solutions.
Core Competencies & Responsibilities
Depending on your primary background (Analysis, Engineering, Data, or Infrastructure), your day-to-day focus will involve a mix of the following:
- Solution Design & Ideation (BA Focus): Collaborate with business units to identify generative AI use cases, define functional requirements for AI agents, and evaluate how Bedrock foundation models can solve complex operational problems.
- Application & Workflow Development (Dev Focus): Build, prototype, and integrate generative AI applications using the Amazon Bedrock API, orchestrating autonomous AI agents and connecting them to enterprise workflows via Python or AWS serverless components.
- Data Strategy & Retrieval (Data Eng Focus): Design and manage the data pipelines powering Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Clean, process, and ingest organizational data into Bedrock Knowledge Bases and vector databases (e.g., OpenSearch Serverless).
- AI Governance & Guardrails: Configure and manage Amazon Bedrock Guardrails to enforce data privacy, content filtering, and safety compliance across all deployed models.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Monitor model usage, latency, and tokens processed to ensure AI workloads are operating cost-effectively and meeting performance benchmarks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Amazon Bedrock Proficiency: Hands-on experience or deep conceptual understanding of the Bedrock ecosystem, including foundation model selection (e.g., Claude, Llama, Titan), Knowledge Bases, Agents, and Guardrails.
- Core Technology Familiarity: Exposure to foundational AWS cloud principles (IAM, secure data storage via S3, and basic cloud architecture).
- Data Literacy: Understanding of how data flows between traditional databases, enterprise document stores, and vector embeddings.
- Problem-Solving Frameworks: Strong analytical capabilities, whether applied to mapping business processes, writing code, or optimizing data pipelines.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Python is highly valued across all tracks for scripting, data manipulation, or prototyping.
Pay: USD $50–$100/hr (CAD equivalent for Canadian candidates). Final rate depends on type of role, but open to market rates.
Please note: This is a general recruitment posting to build a talent pipeline for AWS Bedrock opportunities across multiple clients in the US and Canada. It is not for a specific existing vacancy. We will contact you and get your consent before submitting your resume to any client.
