About the Company
CarDoor is making it easier for Canadians to sell their cars by connecting sellers with real market demand. Through Market Check™, CarDoor leverages competition among hundreds of dealers to help customers unlock a strong offer, while simplifying the selling process from valuation to payment.
About the Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded, data-driven Head of Growth & Marketing to lead our next stage of growth. As a member of the leadership team, you’ll own our growth strategy end to end - from customer acquisition and brand development to conversion optimization, retention and expansion into new markets.
This is an opportunity to shape how CarDoor grows, build a high-performing marketing function, and connect brand, technology and customer experience to measurable business outcomes. You’ll have the autonomy to identify the biggest opportunities, determine where we invest, and turn insight into action. We’re looking for a leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on understanding of what drives growth - someone who can set the direction, move quickly, and build a repeatable engine for sustainable customer acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy & Commercial Performance
- Develop and execute CarDoor’s growth strategy, translating company objectives into clear priorities, measurable targets and high-impact initiatives.
- Own the growth and marketing budget, allocating investment across channels and initiatives based on performance, customer economics and business impact.
- Establish and manage core growth metrics, including customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion rates, lead quality, marketing efficiency and customer lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate growth, improve unit economics and increase the return on marketing investment.
Customer Acquisition & Conversion
- Build and scale a diversified acquisition strategy across paid search, paid social, organic search, content, email, partnerships, referrals, PR, events and traditional media.
- Optimize the end-to-end customer journey, from brand awareness and initial engagement through lead generation, conversion and completed vehicle transactions.
- Design, test and scale campaigns, landing pages, funnels and lifecycle programs that improve conversion and maximize the value of every marketing dollar.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to improve lead quality, follow-up, conversion and the overall customer experience across digital and offline touchpoints.
- Brand & Market Development
- Own CarDoor’s brand strategy, positioning, messaging and go-to-market approach, building awareness, credibility and trust with Canadian consumers.
- Develop integrated campaigns that connect brand-building with measurable commercial outcomes.
- Lead market research, competitive analysis and go-to-market planning for expansion into new markets, identifying the right audiences, positioning and acquisition strategies.
- Strengthen CarDoor’s reputation through customer insights, reviews, communications and a consistent brand experience.
Data, Technology & Marketing Operations
- Build a rigorous approach to analytics, attribution, experimentation and performance reporting, turning data into actionable insights and investment decisions.
- Establish a disciplined testing culture, rapidly validating new channels, creative approaches, audiences and growth opportunities.
- Improve marketing technology, automation and workflows to increase efficiency, strengthen measurement and enable the team to scale.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline execution, improve decision-making and unlock new opportunities for growth.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution
- Lead, develop and scale a high-performing marketing team, establishing clear priorities, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the executive team and leaders across Sales, Operations, Product and Engineering to identify and execute growth opportunities.
- Build the processes, capabilities and operating rhythms needed to support CarDoor’s next stage of growth.
- Connect marketing performance to broader business outcomes, ensuring growth initiatives translate into measurable results for the company.

- Brand and customer intuition: You understand how positioning, creative, messaging and customer experience work together to build trust and drive demand.
- Technology and automation fluency: You’ve used marketing technology, CRM platforms, automation and AI to improve workflows, accelerate execution or strengthen performance.
