Original job description

Company Description Sherway Nissan is a Nissan dealership serving drivers in Etobicoke and the Greater Toronto Area, offering a selection of new and pre-owned Nissan cars and SUVs. The dealership focuses on providing competitive specials and promotions to make vehicle ownership more accessible. Sherway Nissan is committed to delivering reliable vehicles alongside attentive customer service and support. Team members work in a fast-paced retail automotive environment with opportunities to learn about Nissan products and dealership operations.

Role Description The Junior Service Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Sherway Nissan in Toronto, ON. This position supports the Service Department by greeting customers, listening to their vehicle concerns, and accurately documenting service requests. The Junior Service Advisor helps schedule service appointments, prepare repair orders, and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining recommended services, providing estimates, following up on work status, and communicating clearly with customers in person and by phone. The role also involves maintaining organized service records, supporting warranty and recall processes, and contributing to a positive, professional customer experience.

Qualifications

Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, explain technical information in clear terms, and interact professionally with a diverse customer base.
Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple appointments, prioritize tasks, and keep accurate records in a busy service environment.
Basic automotive knowledge or a strong interest in learning about vehicle systems, maintenance schedules, and manufacturer service recommendations.
Computer literacy, including comfort with dealership management or scheduling software, email, and standard office applications.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to help identify customer needs, confirm service requirements, and support accurate repair orders and invoicing.
Ability to work on-site full time, including potential weekend or extended hours as required in an automotive retail setting.
Prior experience in automotive service, retail, or hospitality is an asset, but motivated candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in automotive service or customer service is considered an advantage.
