About the opportunity
PRI is a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm with offices across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, growing toward a national footprint. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to own our brand, content, and campaigns, and to run the marketing engine that supports our commercial team across five sectors: transportation and infrastructure, earth and environment, property and buildings, energy and resources, and renewable energy.
This is a hands-on manager role, not a pure strategist's seat. You will set the marketing plan and then execute much of it yourself: a sector-organized editorial calendar and newsletter, HubSpot campaigns and automation, the website and LinkedIn presence, qualifications and proposal collateral, targeted outreach programs such as a year-long awareness campaign to architects, and the firm's trade show, event, and sponsorship program. You will work closely with the Sector Vice Presidents and Practice Leads who supply the stories, the Proposal Specialist who turns our credentials into winning submissions, and the BD team whose pipeline your campaigns feed. You will be expected to use AI tools fluently to produce more, faster.
What you'll do
- Own the annual marketing plan and budget, tied to the firm's sector growth priorities, and report on what is working.
- Steward the PRI brand across every touchpoint: visual identity, voice, templates, website, and social channels.
- Run the content engine: a sector-organized editorial calendar, the firm newsletter, project stories, thought leadership, and LinkedIn, drawing content from our technical and commercial leaders.
- Build and run campaigns in HubSpot, including email, automation, segmentation, landing pages, and lead capture, and maintain the marketing side of the CRM.
- Design and execute targeted outreach programs to defined audiences, such as architects, developers, municipalities, and lenders, and measure their impact on pipeline.
- Produce and maintain qualifications and collateral: statements of qualifications, project sheets, capability one-pagers, and resumes, in partnership with the Proposal Specialist.
- Own the trade show, conference, event, and sponsorship program: select the right shows and associations by sector, manage budgets and logistics, equip the commercial team to work the floor, and track leads and follow-up so every event pays back.
- Manage the website, SEO basics, and digital analytics.
- Manage external agencies, designers, photographers, and printers, and coordinate marketing requests from across the firm.
What you bring
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 or more years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including at least 2 years owning a marketing function or program end to end.
- Hands-on HubSpot experience: campaigns, workflows, segmentation, landing pages, and reporting.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn technical subject matter into clear, engaging content.
- Experience running content calendars, newsletters, and LinkedIn programs for a professional audience.
- Experience planning and delivering trade shows, conferences, events, and sponsorships, including budgets, logistics, and lead follow-up.
- Working command of design and web tools (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, a modern CMS) and comfort directing designers.
- Demonstrated, practical use of AI tools in marketing work, and genuine enthusiasm for applying them.
- Strong organization and follow-through, and the diplomacy to draw content from busy senior professionals.
Preferred
- Marketing experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or another professional-services firm.
- Experience with account-based or targeted outreach campaigns and with measuring marketing's contribution to pipeline.
- Familiarity with proposal and SOQ development in a consulting environment.
- SMPS membership or certification.
