About the Role
Join a leading Canadian financial institution’s Salesforce engineering team to build and enhance client-facing banking and wealth management solutions on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. Working closely with business analysts, solution architects, and product owners, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable FSC customizations that give advisors and relationship managers a complete, real-time view of their clients.
You will own the technical delivery of FSC features from requirements through production, including custom development, system integrations, and data model extensions. Your work will directly improve advisor productivity, client experience, and the security and compliance of sensitive financial data in a highly regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- FSC Development & Customization: Design and build solutions on the Financial Services Cloud data model, including Person Accounts, Households, Financial Accounts, Financial Goals, Relationship Groups, Action Plans, and Interest Tags. Extend standard FSC functionality to meet retail, wealth, or commercial banking business requirements.
- Apex & Lightning Development: Develop high-quality Apex classes, triggers, batch and queueable jobs, and Lightning Web Components following Salesforce best practices, governor limits, and bulkification standards. Build and maintain declarative automation using Flows where appropriate.
- Integration Engineering: Build and support integrations between Salesforce and core banking, CRM, and downstream enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware such as MuleSoft. Ensure reliable, secure, and well-monitored data exchange.
- Security, Compliance & Data Sharing: Implement and maintain FSC Compliant Data Sharing, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security to protect sensitive client information in line with banking regulatory and privacy requirements.
- DevOps & Quality: Participate in Agile sprints, code reviews, and release management using Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins). Write comprehensive unit tests, support UAT, and troubleshoot production issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 4 to 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Financial Services Cloud implementation, ideally within banking, wealth management, or insurance.
- Core Development Skills: Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, JavaScript, and Salesforce Flows, with a solid understanding of the Salesforce security and sharing model.
- FSC Expertise: Deep knowledge of the FSC data model, Compliant Data Sharing, Action Plans, and FSC-specific configuration. Exposure to OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, Integration Procedures) is a strong asset.
- Integration & DevOps: Proven experience with REST/SOAP API integrations, Platform Events, and source-driven development using Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I required; Platform Developer II and/or Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional strongly preferred.
