We are seeking an experienced Senior Applications Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise application architecture solutions within a large, complex technology environment.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in application architecture, systems analysis and design, enterprise integration, and architecture frameworks. This role involves defining application structures, integration strategies, technical standards, and scalable solutions across multiple platforms and environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement application architecture solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.
- Define application structures, components, interfaces, and integration between applications, databases, and middleware systems.
- Develop target solution architectures, current-state (As-Is) documentation, and future-state (To-Be) architecture blueprints.
- Lead systems analysis, application design, and architecture initiatives.
- Define reusable components, application layers, technical standards, and architectural guidelines.
- Design and support integration solutions involving APIs, web services, SOA, and real-time and batch processing.
- Evaluate technology solutions, platforms, and emerging technologies to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful architecture implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the application development lifecycle.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in developing and implementing application architectures.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and design within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of TOGAF ADM (preferred) or Zachman architecture frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise architecture domains, including business, information, application, technology, and security architecture.
- Hands-on experience with architecture tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Archi, or similar.
- Experience with ArchiMate and/or UML modelling.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, including SOA, APIs, web services, real-time and batch integrations, and hub-and-spoke architectures.
- Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) implementations.
