About the Opportunity
Akkodis is partnering with a leading Canadian insurance organization to identify a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong Guidewire BillingCenter expertise.
This role is focused on the billing and financial operations side of the insurance business and is ideal for a BSA who understands how premium billing, payments, collections, refunds, commissions, and account servicing processes function within a Guidewire environment.
Working closely with business leaders, billing operations teams, product owners, developers, and architects, you will help drive enhancements and strategic initiatives across the Guidewire BillingCenter platform.
What You'll Be Doing
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings across business and technology teams
- Define user stories, functional requirements, and process workflows
- Support Guidewire BillingCenter enhancements and transformation initiatives
- Evaluate impacts across billing, payment, and financial systems
- Partner with developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders throughout delivery
- Support solution design, testing, validation, and implementation activities
- Analyze billing operational processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with user acceptance testing and production readiness activities
- Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams
Required Expertise
- 7+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience
- Proven experience working with Guidewire BillingCenter
- Deep understanding of insurance billing operations and premium collection processes
- Experience supporting areas such as: Billing and invoicing, Payments and payment processing, Collections and delinquency management, Refunds and disbursements, Commissions, and Account servicing
- Strong requirements gathering and process analysis capabilities
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to bridge business and technical discussions effectively
Nice to Have
- Guidewire certification(s)
- Guidewire Cloud experience
- Insurance finance or billing operations experience
- Experience with payment gateways and financial system integrations
- Experience supporting large enterprise digital transformation initiatives
Ideal Background
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked as a Senior BSA, Guidewire Billing Consultant, Functional Analyst, Business Systems Consultant, or Product Analyst supporting billing, payments, and financial operations within insurance organizations.
The ideal candidate understands both the business and technical aspects of insurance billing and can confidently lead discussions across operations, finance, and technology stakeholders.
