About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on mobile application development experience, a strong understanding of mobile architecture and best practices, and a proven ability to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-friendly applications.
The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to build innovative mobile solutions that meet business requirements and provide excellent user experience.
Experience with .NET MAUI (Multi-platform App UI) is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Develop native mobile applications using relevant Android and iOS technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into functional mobile applications.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party SDKs.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance issues, crashes, and technical defects.
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, security, and scalability across different devices and operating system versions.
- Implement secure authentication, data protection, and mobile application security best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, architectural decisions, and development planning.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Manage application releases, deployments, and updates through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Monitor application performance and address production issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with emerging mobile development technologies, frameworks, tools, and industry trends.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving development standards and team productivity.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing applications for both Android and iOS.
- Proficiency in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Proficiency in iOS development using Swift and/or Objective-C.
- Experience with mobile application architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and integration with backend services.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Knowledge of mobile application testing, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of mobile security, secure data storage, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with app deployment, release management, and publishing applications to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a development team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with .NET MAUI for cross-platform mobile application development.
- Knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Experience migrating or modernizing existing mobile applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile application builds and deployments.
- Experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and mobile testing tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and mobile UI/UX best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
