Senior Project Manager, Purpose-Built Rental High-Rise - Permanent - 4335
About the Opportunity
A Canadian developer and construction manager, family-owned across multiple generations, has moved a portfolio of purpose-built rental towers from planning into approved work. They own the land, develop it, and build it themselves. That changes the job: the person running these buildings sits close to the decisions that shape them, not three layers removed. They’re hiring a Senior Project Manager now to deliver the first towers and grow into the Project Director role as the portfolio scales.
Parker Huggett works as an extension of the businesses of Canada’s leading mid-to-large general contractors and developers, and we’re proud to represent them.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Full delivery accountability on high-rise residential rental, preconstruction through turnover
- Direct working relationship with ownership and the executive team; no regional layer in between
- Real input on constructability, sequencing, and budget while design is still moving, because the development team sits down the hall
- Leadership of your project’s office and site teams
- A planned path to Project Director across the portfolio
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- You’ve been PM of record on at least one concrete residential tower, and you can walk through what went sideways and how you fixed it
- You think in pro forma as well as schedule; you know what a month of delay costs an owner
- You’re comfortable at a boardroom table with ownership and give straight answers on cost and risk
- You’ve built a site team and kept it together through a full project cycle
- You want PD scope within a few years and would rather earn it on a portfolio you helped start
About the Job
What’s on offer beyond comp:
- GTA-based, split between head office and site
- A pipeline that’s already approved; your next three years don’t depend on the next bid
- Owner-level exposure; you learn development, not just delivery
- A firm where people stay, with extended family and long-serving staff working side by side
- A head office built around hospitality: food program, wellness facilities, active social committees, summer hours
- Competitive salary, full health and dental, life and LTD
