StafinGo Is Hiring | Senior Quality Assurance Specialist – SQL & ETL Testing-Hybrid in Ontario
Location: Ontario, Canada (Hybrid – Up to 3 days onsite, at the Hiring Manager’s discretion)
Contract: December 7th, 2026 – April 13th, 2027
Extension: Possible for unused business days
Compensation: $60–$75/hour, depending on engagement type and experience

About the Role :
StafinGo is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support a digital health initiative focused on modernizing cancer screening communications across Ontario.
The successful candidate will play a key role in testing monitoring, and evaluation reporting requirements, validating data transformations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across systems. This position requires strong SQL expertise, hands-on ETL testing experience, and a solid background in data warehouse or data migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and complex SQL scripts to validate backend data and ETL processes.
- Perform manual, functional, integration, interface, performance, and regression testing.
- Validate data extraction, transformation, migration, and reporting results using SQL queries.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, requirements traceability, and QA results reports.
- Collaborate with QA leads, project managers, business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Identify, investigate, document, and communicate defects and recommend improvements.
- Support testing strategy, effort estimation, test planning, and quality assurance best practices.
- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer to the project team.
Required Qualifications :
- 5–7 years of experience writing complete SQL scripts, including complex joins, aggregations, and data validation queries.
- 3–5 years of experience testing ETL processes using Informatica or an equivalent ETL tool.
- Hands-on experience with data warehouse and/or data migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle database concepts, including stored procedures, triggers, packages, and views.
- Experience using business requirements, user stories, data models, and data mappings to design and execute test cases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver within tight deadlines.
Nice-to-Have Skills :
- IBM DataStage ETL testing and execution using UNIX shell scripts.
- Siebel or CRM technical experience.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or other major cloud platforms.
- Basic Unix/Linux knowledge, including navigation, connectivity, and command execution.
- Previous public-sector experience.
