QA Test Engineer Co-op
Testing machine learning pipelines and autonomous agents is completely different from testing deterministic software, and our team needs someone who wants to break live AI systems, catch hallucinations, and ship resilient test automation.
What You'll Be Doing
Working under the direction of a Senior SDET on the Applied AI Engineering team, you will build and maintain automated test suites that safeguard production machine learning pipelines and agentic AI systems. You will spend your days testing model-serving endpoints, validating data schemas, asserting against non-deterministic agent workflows, and developing Python utilities that stress-test edge cases before code ships. Coding agents and LLM tooling handle the initial test scaffolding and data synthesis, allowing you to focus your attention on triaging complex failures and verifying fallback paths. Everything you test and automate directly unblocks live releases across critical initiatives powering travel pricing and partner commerce.

What You Bring
- You get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar systems and complex codebases, understanding how components connect and becoming productive on active production suites without needing hand-holding.
- You have hands-on experience designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests, with a strong understanding of test case design, defect tracking, and regression prevention.
- You write clean, functional Python for test automation and scripting, and you are comfortable building utilities, data-setup scripts, or running API tests with tools like pytest or Postman.
- You understand that machine learning models and AI agents fail differently from traditional deterministic code, and you are eager to test data contracts, pipeline reproducibility, and edge cases where output legitimately changes between runs.
- When it comes to AI, you already rely on coding assistants and LLMs to generate test scaffolding, write scripts, or inspect errors, with the sharp judgment to catch hallucinations, verify assertions, and reject code that falls short.
