About the Role
Momentum Team has been a leader in commercial and cargo charters for over 30 years, and now we’re expanding our global Air Cargo Charter presence. We’re looking for a Cargo Charter Broker who thrives on hunting and closing new business opportunities. If you’re a strategic, results-driven dealmaker with a deep understanding of cargo aircraft operations and charter sales, this role is for you.
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales, who oversees the Cargo, Group Charter, and Private Jet divisions. This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role where your ability to secure new business, grow key accounts, and drive profitability will define your success. If you thrive on hunting for new clients, negotiating large contracts, and delivering measurable results, you’ll love it here.
You’ll thrive here if:
- You see complex logistics like a giant 3D puzzle and can’t wait to solve it faster than anyone else.
- You get a rush from finding that one aircraft, in the right place, at the right time, that makes an urgent shipment possible.
- You’re cool under pressure, even when the cargo is critical and the clock is ticking.
- You love talking to operators, handlers, and customs agents as much as you love closing deals.
- You can reroute a shipment mid-air, secure permits in record time, and still have the client thanking you at the end.
- You believe “no” is just the start of a negotiation.
What you’ll do
- Win New Business – Build a pipeline of new clients across North America, South America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
- Drive Outreach – Conduct regular outbound touchpoints (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach) to engage decision-makers and convert prospects into long-term clients.
- Close High-Value Deals – Manage a portfolio of active opportunities, consistently securing profitable charter agreements with strong revenue potential.
- Have a Mastery of Aircraft & Logistics – Develop expertise of different aircraft models, understanding their range, payload, loading dimensions, and operational costs to provide clients with the best solutions.
- Expand Our Supplier Network – Build and strengthen relationships with aircraft operators, airport handlers, and logistics providers to expand our customer and supplier networks, while improving pricing leverage and service reliability.
- Own CRM & Reporting – Maintain 100% accuracy in tracking deals, pipeline, and revenue progress within our CRM, providing weekly performance reports to the Vice President of Sales
- Travel & Network – Identify and attend key industry events per year, assessing their ROI to ensure the best opportunities for client and supplier engagement and accelerated sales cycles.
- Be Always-On – Maintain availability to respond to client needs, changes, or emergencies outside standard business hours, ensuring seamless service at all times.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You have 2-4+ years of experience in air cargo charter sales and a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
- You don’t wait for opportunities to come to you. You actively seek out new business, identify prospects, and convert them into loyal clients, consistently driving revenue and growth.
- You have a strong history of closing $150k+ gross profit in charter deals per year and are hungry to drive more year after year.
- You don’t just sell, you analyze conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and deal profitability to optimize performance.
- You have deep technical knowledge of cargo aircraft, airport logistics, and international regulations.
- You thrive in high-pressure situations, quickly finding creative solutions to close time-sensitive deals.
- Whether it’s negotiating a million charter or writing a compelling proposal, you influence and persuade stakeholders with ease.
- You have a valid passport and can fly to key client meetings and industry events as needed.
- You bring honesty, accountability, and ethical conduct to every deal you close.
Our philosophy
- We believe that lean, high-performing teams of exceptional talent outperform larger teams. That’s why we hire the best, invest in their growth, and reward results accordingly.
- We prioritize ownership, strategic thinking, and clear, impactful communication as opposed to years of experience, because great salespeople aren’t just experienced; they’re driven, insightful, and relentless in pursuit of success.
- Every customer or prospect interaction should reflect deep industry expertise. We expect our team to be more than just salespeople; we are trusted advisors who understand cargo operations inside and out, ensuring that every deal is backed by knowledge, consideration, and value.
