What You’ll Be Doing
Our Digital Banking team is focused on shaping seamless, client-centered digital experiences that support CIBC’s strategic priorities. The Digital Product Delivery team is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing digital banking (mobile, online) and our ECRM platform with capabilities that address business objectives and ensure an optimal client experience.
Reporting to the Chapter Lead, you’ll support the Product Owner in developing and maintaining the vision for the product iterations, being a voice of the client when establishing priorities, understanding the needs of various stakeholders (line of business, legal, risk, security, finance) and ensuring alignment across the product team for each iteration. You thrive in collaborative environments and are able to balance assertion, patience, and perseverance.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
- Backlog refinement and iteration readiness - Support backlog refinement activities by helping maintain a prioritized pipeline of work, improving user story readiness, identifying dependencies, surfacing risks, and helping remove blockers so work is prepared for delivery.
- Requirements development and story quality - Develop and refine user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Owners, business system analysts, solution designers, and technical partners. Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned to business and client needs.
- Solution validation and delivery support - Work closely with solution design and technology teams to validate that proposed solutions align to business requirements, target state objectives, and expected client outcomes. Support execution by helping maintain alignment across scope, timelines, and release plans.
- Testing, release, and post-launch coordination - Partner with QA and delivery teams to support testing readiness, pilot and user acceptance testing, release coordination, and post-launch issue triage. Help ensure capabilities are delivered with quality and that issues are resolved efficiently.
- Cross-functional stakeholder partnership - Collaborate with partners across line of business, legal, risk, security, finance, change management, release management, and technology to support shared understanding, effective decision-making, and smooth delivery execution.
- Governance and compliance discipline - Own and maintain required delivery artifacts, documentation, and governance controls to ensure initiatives are appropriately supported, compliant, and audit-ready.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate relevant experience. You bring 2-4 years of experience in digital product delivery, product ownership, business analysis, or a related discipline, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.
- You have strong digital delivery experience. You have experience supporting backlog refinement, requirements development, testing, release coordination, and delivery execution within agile teams, with hands-on experience using Jira, user stories, acceptance criteria, and story refinement techniques. It’s an asset if you’ve applied these capabilities in a complex, multi-squad environment.
- You’re a strong collaborator and partner. You work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to alignment across business, product, and technology teams.
- You’re an effective communicator. You can clearly translate business needs into structured requirements and support productive discussions with both technical and non-technical partners.
- You’re digitally savvy and client-focused. You seek out innovative solutions, adapt quickly to evolving technologies, and stay focused on delivering high-quality digital experiences for clients.
- You live your values. You bring high standards, genuine care to your relationships, and want to grow with an employer that shares your values and brings out your best.
