About the Role
We are seeking a technically strong Digital Product Manager to support the development and modernization of digital banking experiences.
In this hands-on role, you will independently lead complex initiatives from discovery through implementation, testing, and rollout. You will work across Product, Technology, Design, Content, Business, and Quality Assurance teams to deliver intuitive, reliable experiences while accounting for operational, technical, and risk considerations.
The ideal candidate combines digital product delivery experience with a practical understanding of financial transaction flows, integrations, APIs, and backend systems. You are comfortable taking ownership of meaningful work, navigating ambiguity, and driving progress without requiring constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Product Delivery
- Independently lead initiatives from discovery and experience definition through requirements, design, development, testing, production validation, and rollout.
- Translate business objectives and customer needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
- Conduct discovery sessions, investigate business and technical requirements, identify gaps, and proactively drive decisions and solutions.
- Manage and refine product backlogs, support sprint planning and delivery, and lead product reviews and acceptance activities.
- Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and blockers to keep initiatives progressing against delivery commitments.
- Bring recommendations and material decisions to the appropriate product leadership for review and approval when required.
Financial Transactions and Technical Integration
- Apply a strong understanding of financial transaction flows, including deposits, payments, funds availability, holds, reversals, exceptions, and downstream processing impacts.
- Work closely with Technology teams to understand how digital experiences interact with APIs, backend systems, and integrated platforms.
- Translate complex transaction requirements into intuitive, reliable user journeys while considering operational processes, financial controls, and risk.
- Support the modernization of transaction capabilities across digital experiences and underlying technology.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and potential impacts across systems and end-to-end transaction journeys.
Design, Content, and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Designers and Content specialists to define intuitive, accessible, and effective digital experiences.
- Provide clear direction on user needs, use cases, business requirements, and intended outcomes without needing to be a design or content specialist.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, business sponsors, Technology teams, and QA to align requirements and delivery.
- Communicate recommendations confidently, facilitate discussions, and build stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams.
Testing, Validation, and Rollout
- Contribute to business testing and production validation strategies, ensuring critical transaction paths, end-to-end journeys, and exception scenarios are appropriately tested.
- Work with QA and business stakeholders to validate requirements, resolve defects, and confirm readiness for production.
- Develop and lead pilot and rollout strategies, including readiness planning, success measures, stakeholder feedback, and adjustments before broader deployment.
- Monitor delivery outcomes, address issues proactively, and escalate material risks or blockers when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience in digital product management, product ownership, project management, or a related delivery-focused role.
- Direct experience delivering products or initiatives within financial services; retail banking experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial transaction flows and the related operational and technology impacts.
- Practical understanding of integrations, APIs, and backend systems.
- Experience independently driving initiatives through discovery, requirements, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Ability to translate business and customer needs into clear requirements and reliable digital experiences.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
