Responsibilities
Independently perform transthoracic echocardiography studies, ensuring the requested service is performed correctly and that testing is accurate, valid, and includes all required views. Review requisitions and patient histories, clarify physician requirements with the reading cardiologist when needed, and maintain accreditation standards and effective working relationships with staff.
Requirements
Graduation from a recognized echocardiography program and active membership with Sonography Canada or the ARDMS, as well as good standing with the CMRITO, are required. Candidates must be able to perform TTE studies independently and demonstrate strong communication, assessment, customer service, teamwork, and leadership skills, as well as meet the physical demands of the role.
