Field Sales Engineer, Eastern GTA
We’re partnering with a globally leading manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation to recruit a Field Sales Engineer in Ontario, ideally based around Vaughan or Markham. The region is GTA East (East of the 400 highway).
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established territory and help a growing Canadian business build its next chapter.
You’ll have the backing of an international, family-owned manufacturer with a broad portfolio spanning sensing, measurement, encoders and machine vision. That means plenty of ways to help customers solve real challenges, from detecting components on a production line to improving process control and machine performance.
The Canadian business grew sales by 50% last year and doubled the number of new customers. Now, with fresh investment in marketing and business development, there’s real momentum to build on. You’ll join a small, collaborative team with room to shape your territory, backed by experienced colleagues and product specialists.
Your focus will be getting close to customers: developing existing accounts, opening new doors and turning technical conversations into commercial opportunities. Expect variety across machine builders, food and beverage, automotive, medical, and material handling, selling direct rather than through distribution.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys finding opportunities and making things happen. Direct sales experience in factory automation is key; sensors, instrumentation or motion control would be particularly relevant. An engineering degree is welcome, but your technical curiosity, sales track record and initiative matter more.
The package:
- Up to CAD $10,000 annual commission (split into quarterly payments)
- Up to CAD $5,000 additional bonus linked to Canadian business performance
- CAD $750 monthly car allowance
You’ll start with two weeks of product and systems training in the US, followed by ongoing learning and support. Canadian work authorization and the ability to travel to the US for onboarding are required.
