Position: Java Architect
Location: Toronto Ontario
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale Java-based regulatory and compliance applications.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, design principles, coding best practices, and technology roadmaps.
- Design scalable microservices-based solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Partner with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive cloud-native architecture initiatives leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
- Architect secure, resilient, and high-performing systems aligned with banking and regulatory standards.
- Lead integration design across APIs, Kafka, databases, third-party platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Establish and promote CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews, identify technical risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Mentor development teams, perform design/code reviews, and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Security, Data Governance, and Infrastructure teams to deliver compliant banking solutions.
