I’m recruiting a Legal Counsel for a Downtown Toronto-based opportunity offering broad commercial responsibility and close involvement with business leadership.
The role combines commercial contract negotiation, corporate matters and practical advice on business initiatives. You’ll work with colleagues across several functions, helping them navigate legal issues and move projects forward, supported by experienced legal professionals and external advisers.
We’re interested in Canadian-qualified lawyers with corporate/commercial and/or financial services transactional-focused or regulatory & compliance experience gained in private practice, in-house or both, ideally with 5-6 years of post-call experience.
Strong judgment, a practical approach and an interest in understanding the business will be important. Experience with US Law is ideal as well.
Base salary is up to $175,000, plus a percentage-based discretionary bonus, five weeks of vacation and benefits. This role is a hybrid role, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home time.
