STRUCTURE HEALTH
Nurse Practitioner (Independent Contractor) - Menopause & Migraine Care | Etobicoke, ON
Structure Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to build a dedicated clinical practice in midlife women's health, with a focus on menopause transition and a sub focus on migraine care. This independent contractor opportunity pairs the autonomy of building your own patient panel with the infrastructure, mentorship, and collegial support of an established clinic.
Position OverviewThis role is designed to grow progressively rather than begin at full capacity. The successful candidate will start with a half-day weekly commitment and expand their hours and patient panel over time, in line with patient demand.
- Independent contractor engagement within an established, collaborative clinic
- Starting commitment of 4 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow toward 2–3 full days per week or more, based on practice growth
- Hybrid care model: virtual visits are supported, with in-person time expected for education sessions, collegial collaboration, and patient assessments when clinically indicated
- Flexible scheduling, days and times can be determined by the NP, provided a consistent weekly time and monthly hour commitment is maintained to ensure consistent availability for patient follow up.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care for women navigating the menopause transition, including menopause hormone therapy (MHT) and management of associated symptoms such as sleep disturbance, mood changes, and weight fluctuations.
- Deliver migraine assessment and management as part of an integrated approach to midlife women's health
- Practice in accordance with current evidence-based guidelines in women's health and headache medicine
- Participate as a member of the Structure Health team, including attending educational sessions and being available in person as needed for patient assessments
Qualifications- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- MSCP (Menopause Society Certified Practitioner) certification preferred, or a demonstrated intention to complete certification
- Working knowledge of current evidence-based practices in midlife women's health, including MHT, sleep, mood, and weight management
- Interest in developing competence in migraine care; prior experience is an asset but not required, as structured educational support is available
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a growing practice
Compensation ModelThis role operates on a percentage fee-split model. The starting percentage is based on experience and increases as your patient panel grows, so your earnings reflect the practice you build. As an independent contractor, you retain the flexibility to shape your schedule and the pace of your growth.
The Benefits of Practicing Within a TeamBuilding a niche practice on your own can be isolating. Joining Structure Health means you don't have to do it alone.
● Clinical support. Access to colleagues for case discussion, clinical opinions, and shared problem-solving, particularly valuable when managing complex presentations that span menopause and migraine.
● Structured learning. Educational support for migraine management, with mentorship that helps build competency and clinical proficiency.
● Professional community. A collegial, hybrid work environment that keeps you connected to peers and current practice, rather than working in isolation.
● A credible home for your practice. Patients are seen within an established clinic with a recognized focus on migraine and women's health, which supports trust and referrals as your panel grows.
● Lower barrier to starting. You can begin with a small number of hours and focus on patient care and practice-building without taking on the overhead of establishing a standalone practice.
Infrastructure and SupportStructure Health provides the operational foundation so that your time is spent on patient care and growing your panel:
● Administrative support. Clinic administrative staff support the day-to-day operations of your practice, helping to keep scheduling, patient coordination, and clinic processes running smoothly.
● EMR access. You will have access to the clinic's electronic medical record system for documentation and patient management.
● Marketing and promotion. The clinic supports promotion of the menopause and migraine service, helping to connect your practice with patients and referral sources as it grows.
