React JS Developer
Apex Systems is looking for a
React JS Developer with strong hands-on React, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience to support the Enterprise Process Modernization initiative at a Top 5 Bank
Client: Top 5 Bank
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 1-2 days a week)
Terms: 6 Month Contract, with opportunity to extend based on performance and budget
Job Description
This team is modernizing internal banking processes by migrating manual and legacy-system workflows into modern applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform, leveraging React for high-performance, custom front-end development.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-End Engineering: Build net-new React components and application features from the ground up while scaling and enhancing existing React functionality as the Power Platform environment grows.
- User-Centric Delivery: Develop modern, seamless front-end experiences tailored primarily for internal back-office users and branch personnel.
- Core Coding: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- API Integration: Integrate front-end applications with broader enterprise systems by consuming and interacting with existing backend APIs.
- AI-Assisted Workflow: Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and streamline routine tasks.
- Code Quality & Validation: Review, validate, and troubleshoot AI-generated code before integration to ensure technical correctness and application suitability and prevent fabricated or flawed logic.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Project/Product Managers, and fellow developers within an agile delivery team.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of React Developer experience.
- Strong, recent, hands-on React development experience and deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Ability to work independently on complex application features, using analytical problem-solving skills to review and troubleshoot code rather than simply execute predefined tickets.
- Solid understanding of how modern React applications communicate with backend services through REST APIs.
- Demonstrated familiarity and comfort incorporating AI-assisted coding tools into a professional development lifecycle.
Nice To Have Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience building or integrating solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Experience working in financial services or banking environments.
