Role Description The Shift Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Aurora, ON, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. This role includes leading and coaching team members, ensuring food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are met, and providing friendly, efficient guest service. The Shift Manager helps manage scheduling, monitors inventory and supplies, and supports cash handling and basic reporting tasks. This role also assists with training new team members, resolving guest concerns, and reinforcing company policies and brand standards. The Shift Manager contributes to a positive work environment and supports operational and sales goals.
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise, motivate, and support staff during busy shifts.
- Customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members and resolve issues professionally.
- Operational and organizational skills, such as handling cash, monitoring inventory, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness and safety standards.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to respond quickly to operational challenges and support a smooth-running shift.
- Previous experience in food service, quick-service restaurants, or retail management is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Aurora, ON, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic math and computer skills for point-of-sale systems and shift reporting.
