Description & Requirements
What makes us a great place to work
We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the top ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have earned the #1 overall spot a record seven times. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.
Who you’ll work with
As a Senior Manager within our Leadership Recruiting (LR) team, you will partner with senior stakeholders, including Regional Practice Leads, Global Practice Leads and Office Heads, and other talent teams. You will work with your regional LR lead to develop search strategies and leverage the LR best practice playbook for LR hiring within your remit. You will leverage your external talent landscape insights and business priorities to communicate and adapt your content to each market. You will support your target region but may occasionally support other regions based on demand and team capacity.
What you’ll do
- Use insights from prior similar searches (in region or across LR) to guide executive-level internal clients in shaping talent requirements to match the needs of the firm and the talent in the assigned market
- Manage multiple simultaneous searches and act as the single point of contact for at least one practice
- Lead senior technology hiring, with a particular focus on the Applied Tech practice
- Conduct competitive due diligence as needed to answer strategic questions, and develop and maintain updated regional market maps
- Design, implement, and execute effective executive search strategies, partnering with the Sourcing CoE (and other CoEs as relevant), through referrals, and with search firms on an as-needed basis depending on the talent market
- Coach and brief interviewers on senior-level candidate evaluations
- Act as a trusted advisor to regional MDs, Regional Practice Leads, Global Practice Leads and Office Heads on talent strategy, not just search execution, and be comfortable delivering tough messages and advising on challenging situations
- Explore ways to innovate and improve our recruitment process, taking into consideration business needs and priorities, talent market trends, and candidate experience
About you
- 8+ years of experience in executive-level search and/or in-house talent acquisition in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple time zones
- Proven experience in technology leadership hiring, ideally for a technology or applied tech practice, with a strong understanding of technical recruiting needs and the market
- Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Advanced presentation skills
- Ability to independently exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, discretion, and creativity in response to changing needs and situations
- Proven ability to influence and drive consensus among multiple parties
- Ability to manage competing demands with excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for results with a desire to work in a fast-changing, highly regarded working environment
- Local talent market insights
Nice to have
- Experience in, or working with, a management consulting or professional services firm
- MBA (preferred but not required)
