Senior Mobile Developer (React Native) | Incorporated Contract | Long-term project
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Developer to join a major digital banking transformation, building a brand-new mobile banking application from the ground up.
This is a genuinely greenfield programme, so you’ll be joining at an early stage with the opportunity to influence how the application is architected, built and scaled rather than simply maintaining an established platform.
You’ll play a senior role within the mobile engineering team, helping establish the technical foundations and engineering standards for a new cross-platform application using React Native and TypeScript.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and developing highly scalable mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript
- Helping shape the architecture and technical direction of a new mobile platform
- Establishing strong engineering principles, standards and development practices
- Turning business and customer requirements into effective technical solutions
- Working closely with Product, UX/Design, Architecture and Engineering teams
- Integrating native iOS and Android capabilities where required
- Advising stakeholders and senior leadership on technical approaches and technology decisions
- Ensuring solutions meet enterprise expectations around security, performance, scalability and maintainability
- Supporting continuous improvement across the wider mobile engineering environment
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise-level applications
- Strong commercial experience with React Native
- Strong TypeScript experience
- Excellent understanding of mobile application architecture and performance optimisation
- Strong knowledge of modern software engineering principles and best practices
- Experience working directly with business and technical stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
