Senior Scheduler (Construction) Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and field-focused Senior Scheduler to join Broccolini’s scheduling team. Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, the Senior Scheduler is embedded within the project environment and is responsible for managing, maintaining, and tracking schedule performance on 1–3 active projects at a time.
This role is site-specific in nature, working in close partnership with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure schedule integrity, identify delays early, and support claims and change management processes.
Based in the Greater Toronto Area or Montreal, this position requires regular site presence and works within the project team rather than at the corporate level.
If you are a detail-oriented scheduler who thrives in a project environment and wants to build expertise in schedule management and claims, we encourage you to apply!
Vacancy Status: Current Opportunity
What you will do as a Senior Scheduler (Construction):
- Site Schedule Management
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules in MS Project or Primavera P6 for 1–3 assigned projects.
- Reflect current site conditions, approved changes, and actual progress in the schedule on a regular (weekly or biweekly) basis.
- Monitor critical path activities and near-critical sequences; flag risks and delays to the project team promptly.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and trade partners to validate progress and upcoming work sequences.
- Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Conduct or coordinate regular progress pulls from site - including field walks, superintendent input, and subcontractor updates.
- Produce schedule status reports, look-ahead schedules (2–6 week), and variance reports for internal and client review.
- Support monthly schedule narrative preparation for owner reporting and draw certification purposes.
- Track and report on schedule-sensitive milestones, owner-furnished equipment dates, permit windows, and inspection hold points.
- Delay & Claims Support
- Identify and document schedule deviations as they arise; maintain a contemporaneous delay log.
- Support preparation of time impact analyses (TIAs) and delay claims under the direction of the PM and Scheduling Manager.
- Assist in organizing schedule evidence, fragnets, and as-planned vs. as-built comparisons for change order and claims submissions.
- Maintain schedule baselines and revision history in accordance with contract requirements.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Attend weekly site meetings, OAC meetings, and scheduling reviews as assigned.
- Work directly with the project superintendent to ensure schedule reflects actual sequencing and crew deployment.
- Liaise with the Scheduling Manager on escalated issues, resource conflicts, or schedule recovery planning.
- Support field teams with scheduling tools and promote practical schedule discipline on site.
What You Will Bring:
- 5+ years’ construction scheduling experience in a site-facing or project-embedded role (commercial, industrial, or institutional).
- Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, construction sequencing, and field operations.
- Demonstrated experience with schedule progress tracking and delay documentation.
- Familiarity with claims support, TIA preparation, or forensic scheduling is a strong asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with field teams and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of Canadian construction regulations and standard contract forms (CCDC, etc.) is an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to active project sites is required.
