Responsibilities
Prepare surgical case carts for routine, specialized, and emergency situations, and operate decontamination and sterilization equipment. Prepare and package sterile instruments and supplies while meeting quality indicators, and deliver and pick up supplies.
Requirements
An approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate and previous Tech 2 experience in a Medical Device Reprocessing Centre are required; instrumentation experience is essential. Broad knowledge of surgical services and complex instrumentation, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, teamwork and independent work skills, case cart preparation proficiency, and computer competency are expected; operating room technical experience is preferred.
