Project Director - Permanent - 4333
About the Opportunity
One of the larger Major residential projects the market has seen; a high-profile delivery by a joint venture partnership that has seen success working together prior. It requires security clearance, it will be watched closely, and it may well be the first of its kind. For the Project Director who leads it, it is positioned to open a pipeline of meaningful work that follows and success here builds a great resume and legacy in the Toronto Construction market.
Behind it is a family-led national contractor with more than half a century of major building, civil and industrial work across Canada. Its leadership has deep building roots and a national growth plan already well under way, with Ontario home to some of its most significant work today.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- You lead at the scale of a major project. Experience directing large building projects, ideally residential or mixed-use, where the structure of the team matters as much as the schedule
- Partnership comes naturally to you. You’ve led within a joint venture, aligned partners with different cultures and systems, and kept one team pulling in one direction
- You’re trusted in the room. High-profile owners, government stakeholders and public attention don’t change how you lead; they sharpen it
- You’re eligible to obtain security clearance. You’re comfortable leading within the protocols a project like this demands
- You build leaders as you build projects. Project Managers, Superintendents and Coordinators leave your projects ready for their next step up
- You want your next project to define the decade ahead
About the Job
Picture yourself directing a landmark residential project from early stages to handover, as the senior leader the joint venture, the owner and the market look to. Delivered well, it’s the kind of project that can elevate a career.
- Location: Toronto
- A marquee project. Few, if any precedents, in Canada
- A pipeline behind it. A project that runs until 2029, a busy pipeline, and success here is positioned to open even more meaningful work that follows, with you at the front of it
- Leadership with building in its DNA. A senior team with deep building roots, invested in Ontario, and close enough to the work to know you by name
- National strength, family values. The stability and technical depth of a billion-dollar-plus national contractor, run on the quality, respect and integrity it was founded on
- Growth that’s already happening. A deliberate national growth plan, well under way, with room for the people who deliver its biggest projects to grow with it
