Senior AR Analyst
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2 days)
Rate: $40–$45/hr
Industry: Consumer Electronics
Position Type: Backfill
About the Opportunity
Our client is a Toronto-based technology company with roughly 500 employees and multiple revenue streams. Part of a larger global energy and technology group, they are known for connected products that help households use energy more efficiently.
This Senior AP Analyst contract covers a backfill on a two-person AP team. You’ll own day-to-day invoice processing, employee expense reporting, and the controls that sit around both. The AP team works from a shared inbox, splits inventory and non-inventory invoices, and handles about 20 invoices a day. Volume is steady and manageable, and the tooling does a lot of the heavy lifting.
You’ll work alongside one AP colleague with clearly defined duties, and you’ll step in for each other when needed. You’ll also be the go-to person for employee expenses throughout the contract. The role is well suited to someone who works independently, asks for help early, and wants to keep building their skills. The contract starts the first week of November, and there is a chance to stay on for strong performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and code AP invoices accurately, including inventory and non-inventory invoices from the shared AP inbox
- Work within the approval matrix and AP controls, and follow up on missing approvals
- Process invoices through Tipalti and its OCR tools
- Support bi-weekly pay runs and understand how a pay run is processed end to end
- Own employee expense reports and corporate credit card expenses in Concur, validating accuracy and tax compliance
- Prepare Excel files for payroll from expense data, including data manipulation and reconciliation
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and tie them to the AP subledger in NetSuite
- Process purchase orders received by email on Excel forms, confirming all approvals are in place
- Support vendor setup and onboarding
- Support AP-side billing activity
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve queries quickly
- Cover for your AP teammate when needed, and recommend improvements to manual processes

- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and tying balances to the AP subledger
- Understanding of AP controls and approval workflows
- Clear communicator with internal teams and external vendors
- Self-starter who works independently, asks for help when needed, and respects teammates
