Compare the two withdrawal schedules

The 10-month plan splits the interim bill into five monthly payments from March 1 through July 1 and the final bill into five from August 1 through December 1. No withdrawal occurs on January 1 or February 1 under that schedule. Use the bill’s actual withdrawal dates rather than assuming every first is a banking day.

The six-month plan withdraws each stated instalment on the bill’s due date. The typical months are March, April and May for interim billing and July, August and September for final billing. The listed month sequence is not a substitute for the exact dates printed on the account’s bill.

Bills, DO NOT PAY and plan changes

Interim bills for enrolled taxpayers are mailed in February and final bills in June. DO NOT PAY means the amounts will be automatically withdrawn on the dates listed, so no separate payment action is needed for those instalments.

To change the plan, complete the Pre-authorized Tax Payment application form. To leave the program, use the separate cancellation form. Submit to service@vaughan.ca, fax 905-832-8566 or mail the Tax Department at 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive, Vaughan, ON L6A 1T1. The FAQ does not state a universal cancellation-notice period, so ask before the next withdrawal.

Account help and other payment methods

The plan’s changes do not apply to people outside the pre-authorized program. Other payment methods remain available through the city’s Tax Payments and Assistance page. Do not treat a form submission as confirmation that an imminent bank withdrawal has been changed.
